Our six month 2010 programme 'Urban Games' began on 12 July with the Pavement Art Festival in thecentre:mk.

Images and movies from the Urban Games events can be found on our facebook page.

The programme is creating four large scale interventionist commissions in various media:
- Drawing and painting
- Dance and public performance
- Digital film, media archeology and avant-garde cinema
- Interactive interventionist urban and graffiti art.

All our works are supported and directed by our fascination with new, digital and cutting edge media, and an interest in Science as one of the 'Arts'.

Urban Games is a series of temporary international arts commissions, projects and interventions based on urban play, language, movement, puzzles and illusions focusing on the integration of 'street art' and digital technology into the mainstream.

The Games will take place between July and December 2010 and will include:
- thecentre:mk and Midsummer Place Annual Painting Prize
- an International Pavement and Street Art Festival
- Photon.React.2
- The Fool's Journey

as well as establishing Transimage - a new international online experimental film and cinema project which will continue into 2011Our programme has been designed to complement the IF2010 festival. Urban Games allows us to bring into the city exceptional quality of contemporary, visual performance and installation art pieces, to lead by example and set the highest standards for international artists alongside our regional artists, reach entirely new audiences and continue to develop a reputation for excellence. It is designed to animate the largest central public spaces during that time.

The public is encouraged to 'play' along with us.

The FRINGEMK International Pavement and Street Art Festival, The fool's Journey. Photon.React.2 and Transimage are funded through an Arts Council England Grants for the Arts award.

We will continue to curate our three exhibition spaces in Central Milton Keynes; Project Space 1 and Faceboard in Midsummer Place and a new collaberative space in thecentre:mk - The Whitewall - which will be shared with the University Centre Milton Keynes (UCMK).
